.MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN SCHOOL OF HEALTH SCIENCES (SHS), KAMPALA UNIVERSITY
Welcome to the School of Health Sciences (SHS), Kampala University, center of excellence. I am happy that by opening this website, you are interested in Kampala University programs and in particular to the programs offered by the School of Health Sciences, where academic excellence, leadership excellence, professional and ethics excellence is our goal. The SHS offers Public Health courses namely a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH), Diploma in Public Health (DPH) The students benefit from both theoretical and hands-on practical experience through field and internship placement in some of the leading health care organizations and communities in Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) area and beyond in rural communities. Our teaching staff are focused on ensuring students’ success. They have impressive professional teaching records. Equally our support staff are committed to helping our students achieve their academic goals. Friends, in the next few weeks we be celebrating the graduation of our students to honor their achievements. I feel great at this moment to receive this crop of hard-working young men and women who are witnessing their academic potential. This crop includes students who have done so well including making presentations in international conferences using academic dissertation materials. This is no simple achievement. Join the SHS family to cerebrate the graduation of our students, and earnestly welcome them in the new world in the job market. Congratulations to all of you graduands, your parents, and all those who have supported you in one way or another in the academic trek till this far as your prepare to receive your academic awards.
