
Kampala University LTHM Students emerge victor in the Uganda Tourism Quiz Competitions
Kampala University Leisure, Tourism, and Hotel Management (LTHM) Students emerged victorious in the Uganda Tourism Quiz Competitions and innovation challenges in relation to the theme of Tourism
and Green Investments organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities on September 14th, 2023 at Makerere University Business School- MUBS Nakawa.
Out of the 13 universities that participated in this noble exercise, we are proud to emerge as winners, advancing to the next level where we will present a concept paper, Mr.Nicholas Wiire LTHM HOD said.
This achievement is a testament to your dedication and hard work. I am immensely proud of your performance and the honor you have brought to our department and university, he applauded his students.
The jubilant Nicholas further added that "as we prepare for the next phase of presenting a concept paper and continue our journey towards Uganda Tourism Day, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities, let us carry this victory as a symbol of our department's excellence and commitment to better performance.
The Kampala University LTHM Department will be joining the Ministry of Tourism Wildlife, and Antiquities from 26th to 29th September 2023 in Western Uganda ( Hoima District) for the celebrations of the World Tourism day before their students embark on the Kenya academic trip that is coming soon.
Tourism is one of the world’s most important economic sectors. It employs many and provides livelihoods to hundreds of million people. For some countries, contributes to over 20 percent of their GDP.
