Ethiopian Ambassador visits Kampala University
The Ethiopian Ambassador to Uganda Her Excellency Etsegenet Bezabih Yimenu, paid a courtesy visit to Kampala University on Friday, 15th September 2023 to discuss on a number of development matters with the University Vice-Chancellor Owek.Amb.Al-haj.Prof.Badru D.Kateregga.
During the duo’s meeting, H.E Etsegenet and the Vice-Chancellor discussed the respective education systems of the two sisterly Countries and had the opportunity to explore possible areas for collaboration in the field of Higher Education.
I always try to visit universities whenever I can, it is important to see how things work in other Countries. Kampala University also has good relations in the field of education. Relations between Ethiopia and the Uganda are also at the top level,” says H.E Etsegenet.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor highlighted that working together will help us do research in many areas, and also have internationalization that brings benefits, including access to different expertise and facilities, networking, assimilating a different culture, and raising worldwide awareness of our University and the Embassy.
He thanked the Ambassador for her visit to Kampala University, accentuating that the University is always open for the Embassy, to support and participate in its activities.
