Kampala University, Jinja Campus To Host Buganda Premier
05TH October 2024 will be a day for jubilation and elation at Kampala University-Jinja's Campus as O'Wekitiibwa, the Katikkiro of Buganda Kingdom, Charles Peter Mayiga, will be meeting youth from the Busoga region at this very campus.
Youth from different tertiary institutions, secondary schools, and communities in the Busoga region will have the opportunity to interact with the Katikkiro and share a lot as far as shaping their career path is concerned.
His visit typically aims at inspiring young minds, bridging the gap between leadership and the populace, it often symbolises a recognition of the importance of education, culture, and the future generation's role in shaping society.
The highly anticipated visit will include a series of engagements with university students, staff, and key stakeholders from the education and cultural sectors.
This visit underscores the Premier’s commitment to fostering a strong connection between leadership and the nation's youth. It will also focus on encouraging young people to embrace their cultural heritage while equipping themselves with modern skills necessary for future leadership.
As part of the agenda, the Premier will address a large gathering of students from within and far, discussing critical issues such as youth empowerment, the importance of education, and cultural preservation.
Cultural performances by our students’ associations will take centre stage, celebrating the diversity and richness of the nation’s traditions.
